Seventh Generation Rebrand

Type of Project: Branding, Typography, Packaging Design, Poster Design

Design Objective: Rebrand the company of your choice and create several collateral items.

Design Notes:

  • I wanted to rebrand Seventh Generation because it is a brand that considers sustainability and aims to use natural ingredients.

  • The current brand identity doesn’t stand out or feel vibrant

  • Research of the brand’s history, identity system, values, and goals—as well as their competitors—informed this project.

  • For the packaging, I created a pattern of the Monstera leaf positioned at an inverted angle to provide some contrast.

After many iterations, I decided to go with a Monstera leaf. I toyed with different typefaces, angles, and scales to try to achieve the right balance.

The final logo made use of overlapping letters onto the Monstera leaf to connect both elements of the logo.

This is the first draft of the accompanying ad campaign. The images weren’t quite right, and the posters needed more information about the products and better balance.

In the final versions, I added product images and a color band at the bottom to create a parallel to the packaging design.
